My Priorities for Kelowna
Safer Streets and Communities
- Work with the RCMP and Bylaw Services to address theft, business break-ins and property crime.
- Press senior levels of government for stronger action on chronic offenders, more prosecutorial resources and mandatory care facilities.
- Support mental health professionals responding to people in crisis where appropriate.
- Bring firsthand understanding of the safety challenges facing local businesses, their staff and customers.
Housing and Support
- Work with government, developers and community partners to increase attainable housing options.
- Continue addressing affordability as Kelowna’s housing supply grows.
- Support the Tiny Homes initiative, which combines safe housing with support to help people move toward permanent housing.
A Strong Local Economy
- Support businesses of all sizes and create opportunities for economic growth and diversification.
- Support continued growth at Kelowna International Airport as a driver of jobs, tourism and investment.
- Advocate for a stronger local voice and a focused, city-led approach to economic development.
Experience, Energy and Accessibility
- Bring four terms of Council experience and a deep understanding of Kelowna’s challenges and opportunities.
- Draw on 40 years in the hotel industry and nearly 30 years writing about local businesses.
- Build on longstanding relationships with residents, businesses, community organizations and other levels of government.
- Continue showing up, listening and responding to residents’ calls and messages.
- Welcome new voices and ideas while providing the experience and continuity to keep moving forward.
How I Make Decisions
- Consider the facts, listen to residents and focus on Kelowna’s long-term interests.
- Weigh competing priorities carefully, recognizing that resources are limited.
- Ask questions, respect different perspectives and seek common ground.
- Take every Council vote seriously and consider its impact on the city as a whole.

It has been one of the great honours of my life to be elected and serve the people of Kelowna. I am deeply grateful for the confidence you have placed in me, and for the opportunity to work on behalf of our community.
After much thought and consideration, I have decided to run for re-election in the October Municipal Election. I would be honoured to continue serving Kelowna and working together to build an even stronger, more vibrant community.
I am proud of what we have accomplished during my time in office, from opening many new parks, advancing new recreation facilities, supporting our agriculture community, investing in vital infrastructure improvements across the city and making many positive contributions to public safety.
Throughout my time in office, I have worked hard to remain accessible and connected to the people of Kelowna.
I have had the privilege of speaking to thousands of residents, community leaders, business owners, and stakeholders, listening to their ideas, concerns, and hopes for our city.
It is from these conversations that I believe my work is not done. I want to continue to be a part of making Kelowna a safer, healthier, and a more prosperous city.
There’s still more work to do, and I am ready to get it done. I hope you will join me as we move Kelowna forward – together!
