Straight From DeHart – Aug. 7, 2019

A new neighbourhood wine bar from the founder/owner of the successful Rotten Grape that was formerly on Bernard Avenue has opened in the Mission area of the city. Rita Myers and Jason Monteleone have opened Tutt Street Tapas + Wine at #5 – 3045 Tutt Street in Tutt Street Square. The cozy but eclectic restaurant, with a patio, was the brain child of Rita and Jason after they threw in some inspiring trips to Italy and Rita working in an Osteria in Piemonte. They also missed their Rotten Grape family. Their menu is made daily, in-house using sustainable, local, organic ingredients whenever possible. Their food is good for sharing with a varied menu and a daily feature of their own house-made pasta. They offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Try a small plate of baked meat balls, seafood cakes or soup or a charcuterie, artisan cheese board or Tuscan bruschetta. Their artisan flat breads are made thin and crispy with organic whole wheat and spelt with all crust made in-house. Open Tuesday to Saturday 4:00 p.m. until close. www.tuttsttapas.com
